New Forest Family Pubs are a small group of elite Public Houses situated within the boundaries of the New Forest National Park. The local owner of the group brought them together with the specific intention of creating a warm and friendly family atmosphere. Some of the original sites are mentioned in the 1086 Domesday Book, all of the sites have a rich and varied history, for instance, The Sir Walter Tyrell stands a few yards from the “Rufus Stone” which is where legend has it that Rufus, son of William the Conqueror, was accidently shot and killed by an arrow from Walter Tyrell whilst hunting deer in the forest.

Families visiting the New Forest will find that our establishments welcome families with children, we have large outside dining areas with safe play areas adjacent, a large and varied food and drinks menu will ensure that all family members, including vegetarians are satisfied for choice.

Click on any of the pictures of pubs for further detailed information, we look forward to greeting you soon at one of our New Forest Family Pubs.
